What is the main focus of your site?
The Lightning Bug's Lair is a site devoted to reviewing the best and worst in cult, horror, exploitation, and B-movies. I like to share my take on these overlooked gems and have a good time doing it.
What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
If I can get one person somewhere interested in a movie that's maybe a bit outside their comfort zone, then I've done my job. I'd love to see the LBL grow and support the low budget horror community.
Do you prefer an interactive 'community' for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers are the students?
I'd love to have an active community. Discussion is what brings new films and new ideas to the table.
How long have you been movie blogging for, and how frequent do you post updates to your site?
I only started back on August 20th 2008 so my blog is quite young still, but I post between 3 and 5 days a week and I'm building up a catalog of reviews for people to enjoy.
Name up to three of your favorite movies (and no more).
Mulva:Zombie Asskicker, Madhouse, J-Men Forever.
How did you hear about the LAMB?
Saw a link for it on http://www.internalbleeding.com/.
Any additional comments, or give yourself an interview question that's not listed above.
If you really are the boss man of the moon, Mr Lightning Bug, then how do you have time to watch all these movies and review them?
One Word: Delegation.
