LAMB #285 - Remembrance of Things Past
URL: http://anamnesis-remembranceofthingspast.blogspot.com/
Site Name: Remembrance of Things Past
Categories: Reviews, Horror, DVD
Rating: I will say R…just to be safe
What is the main focus of your site?
My blog focuses mostly on the movies and television shows I watch on a day to day basis. I enjoy all aspects of cinema, but have a soft spot for world, arthouse and horror. I collect rare and promotional soundtracks and limited edition DVD's and my blog also creates an outlet for me to share images and thoughts about my collection.
What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
I am trying to become more adept at getting across what I think and feel, as movies are such a big part of my life, I can often use them to help me vent about things that frustrate, annoy or even elate me. I am hoping that through regular writings I can increase my vocabulary and articulate my thoughts more clearly, not just on film, but all aspects of life in general.
Do you prefer an interactive 'community' for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers are the students?
I would hope for an interactive community, I think one of the great things about movies is the way in which they are open to different interpretations from people in all walks of life, but if I should teach something along the way then I guess it wouldn't be a bad thing.
How long have you been movie blogging for, and how frequent do you post updates to your site?
I started the blog last August (2008) and then promptly forgot it. I have however, improved my blogging greatly in the last few months with multiple weekly posts, if not daily!
Name up to three of your favorite movies (and no more).
My Neighbor Totoro, Jaws and Dark City.
How did you hear about the LAMB?
Quite a number of blogs I subscribe to are members...1minutefilmreview, Jen Reviews Movies, Eye Candy (to plug but a few), and I have used it consistently to find and read others.
Any additional comments, or give yourself an interview question that's not listed above.
I think the internet and movie blogs are of crucial importance to fans. I have come across so many wonderful films and met (electronically) so many great people. I hope to be able to contribute and meet so many more and with sites like The LAMB it is only going to be easier for me to do so...so thanks for having such a great site and list :)
