What is the main focus of your site?
The main focus of The Schleicher Spin is reviews of books and films both classic and contemporary, with film reviews/discussion normally taking precedence. The blog makes special notice of films that have been adapted from books. The blog originally started as a way to promote my writing and quickly turned into a forum for book and film talk and a place to share my reviews. There are also occasional travel related posts.
What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
The goal of The Schleicher Spin is to present my spin on books and films and to encourage others to share their views through the comment forms and monthly polls.
Do you prefer an interactive community for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers are the students?
I prefer interactive blogging where I present my reviews/ideas and then respond to readers who are encouraged to leave comments and add their own spin on the movies or books being discussed.
How long have you been movie blogging for, and how frequent do you post updates to your site?
The Schleicher Spin (formerly known simply as The Official Blog of Author D. H. Schleicher) has been around since December of 2006. I try to put up at least one new post a week, if not more when possible, and respond daily to comments from readers. I also welcome Guest Bloggers to submit articles/posts/reviews relating to books and films.
