What is the main focus of your site?
Reviews/descriptions of silent films, particularly those less famous today.
What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
I want people to learn more about the richness of these films. I hope my essays will help them appreciate the humanity of silent films, and diminish stereotypes some people have about them. I end each essay with a link, showing readers where the film can be located. On a personal level, this is a chance for me to hone my writing style, and an excuse to watch more silent films.
Do you prefer an interactive community for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers the students?
I’d like the blog to be more interactive than it is. This is difficult when the topic is so specialized. Widening the readership might help.
How long have you been movie blogging for, and how frequent do you post updates to your site?
I try to update twice a week. Entries are usually quite lengthy.
