LAMB #490 - Against the Hype

Site Name: Against the Hype
Categories: Reviews
Rating: PG-13
What is the main focus of your site?
Critiques of Oscar-hyped movies, especially when I'm off-consensus.
What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
I aim to point out nuances that other movie writers haven't: highlighting un-noticed details, and holding highly acclaimed pictures to a more rigorous standard. See, for instance, my filleting of WALL·E's less-discussed flaws.
Do you prefer an interactive community for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers the students?
I'd love more in-depth, analytical discussions of movies, whether on my blog or others'.
How long have you been movie blogging for, and how frequent do you post updates to your site?
My blog came into being with a review of Kung Fu Panda over a year ago. When I do post, I write about one long-ass essay per month.
Name up to three of your favorite movies (and no more).
Lust, Caution (2007, Ang Lee)
Jackie Brown (1997, Quentin Tarantino)
Summer Wars (2009, Hosoda Mamoru)
How did you hear about the LAMB?
The Kathryn Bigelow/Jane Campion blogathon.
Any additional comments, or give yourself an interview question that's not listed above.
None.
