What is the main focus of your site?
What do you get when you mix two brothers, one an award-winning television director, the other an award-winning writer and journalist? You get the Movie Brothers, Brian and Matt Volke, two rabid film fans who wanted a forum to share their movie reviews and, often, opposing tastes. Brian sees through the lens, Matt through the page.

Most films will be rated side by side — one review by Brian, the other by Matt — on a scale of 1-10.

A film worthy of a 10 takes takes something like Stanley Kubrick’s “Paths of Glory” or Martin Scorsese’s “The Departed.”

A film with a 1 is like “ Mannequin 2: On the Move” or “Batman and Robin.”

We will also post Top 5 lists like, “Top 5 scariest movies” or “Top 5 movies we can’t wait to see this summer.”

What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
For us, it is fun. Brian is a television director for CBS News, and I've been a newspaper reporter, and now a public relations professional, for all our adult lives. This was a fun project for us, because we both love movies. But our readership is taking off, and we're very proud of it. Our backgrounds and professions give us some credibility, but we still have lots of fun and are playful with our content.

Do you prefer an interactive community for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers the students?
Interactive. We love feedback and comments from readers. We certainly are opinionated, but we love to debate our opinions with readers.

How long have you been movie blogging for, and how frequent do you post updates to your site?
We are in our fourth month. We post every weekday.

Name up to three of your favorite movies (and no more).
Paths of Glory, Star Wars, The Departed

How did you hear about the LAMB?
We've been avid readers of movie blogs, and LAMB is one of the best sources for both movie content and finding other movie blogs.

Any additional comments, or give yourself an interview question that's not listed above.
I would say we're very proud of our content. It's smart, funny, reaches a wide pallet, and doesn't insult the reader with an authoritative tone that speaks down to them.
