Site Name: Baltimore Movie Examiner
Categories: Reviews, General, News, Classic Film, Lists
Rating: PG

What is the main focus of your site?
I guess the main focus would be movie reviews. I try to get reviews of the latest releases posted every Friday (or when they release). But, I also write about other things: special events, lists, I'm about to start a version of the 'Julie & Julia' challenge where I will watch 150 classic films in a year and write about each, etc.

What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
My reason for starting to blog was the fact that I love movies and love writing, but needed an outlet to combine those two passions. I hadn't written much since high school and needed to find a place to make myself write regularly. I found Examiner.com and figured it was a good place to start. If it leads to a different outlet or something more, that would be great. If not, I am very happy doing what I am doing right now.

Do you prefer an interactive community for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers the students?
You know it's a little of both. I have a comments section available on all articles, but most of the comments are simply opinions and don't require dialogue. However, when people ask specific questions or try to start a dialogue, I usually get involved. I hope to have much more interaction with the 'Julie & Julia' challenge I'll be doing.

How long have you been movie blogging for, and how frequent do you post updates to your site?
Examiner.com has been around for probably 3-4 years now. I have been a member since April, 2009. I post anywhere for 2-6 times a week. More if necessary (like a lot of news occurring in one week).

Name up to three of your favorite movies (and no more).
'Die Hard,' 'The Princess Bride' and 'Serendipity' ..I'll admit, I'm a bit of a closet rom-com fan.

How did you hear about the LAMB?
I heard about LAMB through Facebook. My friend Movie Mom is on the site and 'Liked' your Facebook page. That's where I saw your site.

Any additional comments, or give yourself an interview question that's not listed above.
I just think this is a fantastic idea. There are so many blogs out there that having one place to pool them together and organize things is simply great. I truly hope you guys will include me and look forward to perusing your site.

Just a couple stats for you. There are over 1,020 writers for the Baltimore branch of Examiner.com (10s of thousands on the site as a whole), and I am consistently in the Top 5 as far as traffic goes. My "average" traffic ranges from about 250-700 hits a day, but I have had some abnormally high days including one day when I had over 70,000 (was featured on Fark.com twice with two of my Top 10 lists).

Thanks so much for your time and consideration.
