LAMB #759 - Cin-Eater
URL: http://cin-eater.blogspot.com/
Site Name: Cin-Eater
Categories: Reviews, Classic Film, Lists, Posters, Photographs, Stills
Rating: PG-13
What is the main focus of your site?
I started Cin-Eater as a companion to my other blog, Where Danger Lives. I focus specifically on classic crime movies over there, and needed a place to put my thoughts into words concerning all of the other old stuff I watch. I chose the name for a few reasons — mainly because it's one hell of an ass kicking name — but also because it reflects how many films I watch: at least 500 different films per year, cataloged like a true OCD freak for more than 20 years now. (I have more laboriously handwritten composition books than Kevin Spacey in Se7en.) At any rate, the blog features small to medium-sized reviews of classic films, primarily, but I hope to begin a few new features soon.
What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
I just enjoy writing about films in my blogs, particularly since Netflix shut down all of its community features.
Do you prefer an interactive community for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers the students?
Comments make the world go round, except the ones encouraging me to buy Viagra or download term papers.
How long have you been movie blogging for, and how frequent do you post updates to your site?
Cin-Eater has been up for 6 months or so. I'm a college professor who puts a lot of time in, so I never post as regularly as I'd like — the beginning and end of the school year is murder, summers are great! If I can average out to a post a week I'm satisfied.
Name up to three of your favorite movies (and no more).
I tried to think about this, but began to hear a sizzling sound and decided it would best to just move on to the next question.
How did you hear about the LAMB?
Where Danger Lives is LAMB #299. I've greatly enjoyed participating as a LAMB member, and only hope that the addition of this blog provides a few more chances to do so.
