LAMB #316 - The Movie Center

URL: http://moviecenter.us/
Site Name: The Movie Center
Categories: We do reviews, previews, cinema history and editorial content.
Rating: To be safe, I'd say we're PG-13. There's rarely if ever any profanity, never any pornographic material or violent imagery.

What is the main focus of your site?
The Movie Center is a blog centered on film entertainment, including previews, reviews, special features (like Primers on specific directors) and editorial commentary on the art and business of film.

What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
The other writers at The Movie Center and I are all professional freelancers. We create content for the Klat Blog Network in an attempt to generate user traffic via social networking sites like Digg and Reddit, and of course through affiliate blogs such as LAMB.

Do you prefer an interactive community for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers are the students?
All Klat blogs, The Movie Center included, have an easy-to-use comments section, as well as a live chat tool embedded in each of our sites. Community interaction is essential to our blogs' success.

How long have you been movie blogging for, and how frequent do you post updates to your site?
I have been a freelance writer for several years, but The Movie Center has been active since December 2008. We generally update 2-3 times a week.

Name up to three of your favorite movies (and no more).
Personally, I love David Lynch's Blue Velvet, Cronenberg's Crash (not the Oscar bait movie from a few years ago, but the weird one with James Spader), and I think Quick Change is one of the funniest movies I've ever seen.

How did you hear about the LAMB?
I did a Google search for movie-related blogs.

Any additional comments, or give yourself an interview question that's not listed above.
Thank you very much for taking the time to read this submission.
