Happy New Year! We are already four days in to the year of 2010 and the time is just flying by so fast. Is it true that 2010 will be the year that we make contact with space aliens? Yes, that was an extremely far fetched film reference, I know. Hopefully you can forgive me since I am only on my second cup of coffee for today. After all this is the year that there is so much time and so little to do. Wait a minute! Strike that, reverse it. Could someone stop me from making more movie references? Please!
However, with all seriousness I would like to remind everyone that we are two weeks away from the fifth installment of The LAMBs in the Director’s Chair series. You heard correctly! Beethoven will have nothing to hold against us for presenting the best fifth ever! Is there any shame for me to be moving on to writing musical references instead of listing movie quotes and referring to film titles? Anyway, the focus of this next installment is none other the disgruntled old man himself – Clint Eastwood! He has a lengthy career in Hollywood as an actor and a director. It must be observed by every participant that we will be focusing upon the films that he has directed during the course of his established career and not the films that he has been credited with just an acting role.
For those who are new to the LAMBs site I would like to offer a reminder about the rules of the event. Please visit the original announcement post for event number five by visiting this link here. Promotional banners can be retrieved from the original post if you would like to offer a listing on your website to promote the event. Remember that there are two important rules for participation: (a) every participating blog must be an active member already listed in the LAMB directory, and (b) the deadline for all articles to be submitted is January 17, 2010 at 10 PM (local time). Is your review or editorial already live on your website? Then feel free to e-mail the direct link to me at mattehavoc@gmail.com as soon as possible. Multiple submissions are allowed and strongly encouraged!
