I do apologize for posting this a day late. But as I'm on vacation, I've been a little distracted. Today's Choice Chop hails from The Flick Chick. She recently caught a showing of Lorna's Silence, the latest from the Dardenne Brothers (who also brought us L'enfant). Here's a quote:[The Dardenne Brothers'] films are rewarding and intriguing in ways that few others can match. Filming in a simple, direct style, they put their protagonists in unusual, morally questionable situations, and then just stand back and watch as they deal with the consequences. It's a simple strategy, but it works very well.
Her thoughtful analysis of the film made me put this on my NetFlix queue immediately. I would highly recommend checking out her full review here.
