What is the main focus of your site?
The main focus of my site is to review movies and TV shows, and build a following for our authors through the use of Twitter and other forms of social media.
What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
The main goal for my blog is to provide high-quality, well-written reviews of movies and TV shows, and provide readers with a unique movie-blogging experience. I would like to get at least 100 readers per day, and keep the site dynamic enough so that they keep coming back and bring in even more visitors. I also want to keep the site free of advertising, except for the promotion of other sites when I can. :)
Do you prefer an interactive community for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers the students?
We are more of an interactive community. There is new content posted a few times per week, a new poll each Friday, and integration of Twitter in order to foster interactivity.
How long have you been movie blogging for, and how frequent do you post updates to your site?
I am a former English teacher who has been blogging in various capacities for several years, but movie blogging since starting Walking Taco in June of 2009. New reviews are posted about twice a week--sometimes more, sometimes less, but never less than once a week.
Name up to three of your favorite movies (and no more).
I can't speak for the authors at my site, but my personal favorites are Star Wars Episode IV, The Great Escape, and Saving Private Ryan.
How did you hear about the LAMB?
I saw a link on MovieZeal.
Any additional comments, or give yourself an interview question that's not listed above.
With thousands of movie blogs out there, why should people visit Walking Taco?
Good question. The point of Walking Taco is for readers to get to know the authors and read the site because they are interested in what our authors are watching and reviewing. We have more personal appeal than other movie blogs, and seek to foster that sense within our authors and readers.
