Director's Chair #7 -- Day One

LAMBs in the Director's Chair
Event #7 starring Martin Scorsese
April 28th to 30th of 2010

DAY ONE

Holy thick rimmed eye wear, Batman! It may be safe to proclaim event number seven to be the largest turnout of contributions for the LAMBs in the Director’s Chair series in its entire history so far. There may be nothing else shy of a promising guarantee for a large turnout than having the focus point of the current installment to be Martin Scorsese. He is one of the most recognizable directors of modern American cinema, which has drawn together a group of contributory writers from around the world to participate. I am hoping that you may have a bit of extra time set aside to peruse the sixty-one articles that have been submitted for event seven. Do not worry too much since I will have them spread out rather evenly across the next three days. Make sure to stay tuned for each of the days, because all of these articles are definitely worth the time to read. There were many film reviews submitted, but the winner with highest number of entries was for the most recently released film: Shutter Island (2010). In order to offer a bit of a balance for the event I will be splitting up the films reviews evenly across all three days. This would imply that if you do not see your submitted review of Shutter Island on the first day, then keep on eye open for it to appear on the second or third day. The same action has been applied to the long list of career editorials (another Director’s Chair record, I think).

Editorials about Martin Scorsese (etcetera).
Reviews for Shutter Island (2010).
Reviews for The Aviator (2004).
Reviews for Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore (1974).
Reviews for The Departed (2006).
Reviews for Michael Jackson's Bad (1987).
The first day of the event is officially closed, but there will be more material available some time tomorrow morning. Of course, there are a few more editorials about Martin Scorsese in addition to a couple more reviews for Shutter Island. In addition, there will be a nice list of film reviews for Gangs of New York, The Kings of Comedy, Goodfellas, and Shine a Light.
