What is the main focus of your site?
We focus primarily on mainstream movie news and reviews for major current and upcoming theatrical releases.
What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
Our goal is to reach more movie fans in order to generate discussion about what's happening in the industry or what people think about a specific film or news item. It's the 21st century. People don't just watch or read the news anymore, they share and discuss it. Personally, my goal is to develop as a writer and cultivate my own unique voice in that discussion and community.
Do you prefer an interactive community for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers the students?
We share our thoughts on the news and films, but we try to foster an interactive environment for readers to respond, discuss, and debate. We're film lovers just like our readers. The website is just an extension of that desire to see a movie and share that experience.
How long have you been movie blogging for, and how frequent do you post updates to your site?
News in Film has been active since May 2007 with daily updates and weekly reviews.
