Day 1

Random Ramblings of a Demented Doorknob compared Rashomon the movie to the short stories it was adapted from, then gave the movie his highest rating.

Korova Theatre Presents has a review of Seven Samurai, featuring maybe the most awesome movie poster ever. Unsurprisingly, the film receives an A+.

Matte Havoc takes a look at Stray Dog and Rashomon, and also has a fairly in-depth, two-part YouTube video about Kurosawa's influences and those he influenced.

Japan Cinema has reviewed not one, not two, but three Kurosawa films: Ran, Seven Samurai, and Kagemusha. His custom banners for each film are, as always, very impressive.

The Movie Projector looks at The Bad Sleep Well and High and Low, two of Kurosawa's 60's efforts.
