Doc Hard with Mad Hatter
North America's biggest documentary film festival, HOT DOCS, is coming to Toronto from April 29th to May 9th. The line-up announced includes features about the art of waitressing, The American energy race, the scandalous career of Jack Abramoff, a former anorexic turned competitive eater, and an orangutan.
(Don't laugh - the orangutan flick looks VERY avant garde)
The Dark of The Matinee will be providing extensive coverage including reactions to screenings, conversations with directors, special doc-centered episodes of The Matineecast, and much more.
The Hot Docs website with schedules and info regarding all the films and events can be found here (http://www.hotdocs.ca/festival/) and all of my festival coverage can be found here (http://mcneilmatinee.blogspot.com/search/label/hot%20docs).
Got a Press Release, something to Plug, or a Screener available for review (or some combination of the three)? Ok, well don't get all crazy about it. Just click here and give me the details - I'll handle the rest.
