PRESS RELEASE: Downtown Film Festival L.A.

The 2010 Downtown Film Festival L.A. will be held Sept. 8-12 in venues throughout downtown Los Angeles. Dedicated to showcasing the best of independent cinema in the center of the Film Capital of the World, the festival also celebrates downtown L.A.’s renaissance with related events including live music performances, art exhibitions, exclusive loft parties and panel discussions.

Highlights of this year's 5-day festival includes the Los Angeles premiere of "American: The Bill Hicks Story" during the Opening Night Gala; Digital Art L.A., the festival's cutting-edge video program during the September Art Walk; the American Latino Film Series; the premiere at The Grammy Museum at L.A. Live of the “Red Hot Chili Peppers: Untitled Documentary"; Taco Cinema, an all-day/night street food and film fest on Saturday, Sept. 11, and a free-to-the-public outdoor screening on Closing Night of "Lost Angels," the companion feature documentary to last year's hit movie "The Soloist."
