PLUG: Blanc de Blanc

Some of you may know fellow LAMB member Lucas McNelly of 100 films. In fact, a couple of you reviewed his short film gravida, back in 2007. Well, he's a got a new film out and is looking for people to review it.

The film, Blanc de Blanc, was shot and edited to a fine cut in 2 weeks (for $970) as part of #2wkfilm, a friendly challenge among filmmakers on Twitter. It premiered last month in Pittsburgh and is currently starting the self-distribution and festival circuits.

Here's where you come in. Lucas is looking for bloggers willing to write about his film, pretty much in any way they'd like. Naturally, the most obvious way would be to review the film, and if you'd like to do that, there's a screener you can download. Or, you might find it more compelling to write about the insanity that is the #2wkfilm process (roughly 4 days to shoot, 10 to edit a feature). Or, if you'd like to interview Lucas about any of it, that works too.

If you'd like a link to the screener, email Lucas (lmcnelly [at] gmail.com) and he'll hook you up with whatever you need.

Blanc de Blanc is about a man (Jason Kirsch) who arrives, suddenly, in Pittsburgh and falls for a woman (Rachel Shaw) she meets on the street. Only, his past life isn't willing to let him go without a fight. Digging Pitt called it "a rare thing, a nesting-box film that succeeds." Jim at the Moviezzz Blog said it was his best film yet.

Here's the teaser [sorry for the butchered shot; YouTube's video embedding won't get any smaller for this clip]. There's another, proper trailer coming, but Lucas needs some pull quotes from critics to fully sell the film (hint, hint).

Hopefully, we'll be able to help one of our own get the word out.

Got a Press Release, something to Plug, or a Screener available for review (or some combination of the three)? Ok, well don't get all crazy about it. Just click here and give me the details - I'll handle the rest.
