What is the main focus of your site?
The main focus of the site is media reviews. Movies, music, and skateboarding. A large part of the site is for movie reviews, as I have a lot of time on my hands and post up reviews of film and more.

What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
I've been blogging for a long time and my only goal is to keep thoughts in my head on paper, in case I forget them. I also have few friends, so I post all I have on the canvas of blogging and maybe, just maybe it'll connect and someone will find something new to explore.

Do you prefer an interactive community for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers the students?
I would prefer an interactive community for my blog, but it usually turns out to be a teacher and student type thing, that is if I even have readers.

How long have you been movie blogging for, and how frequent do you post updates to your site?
The site was up through October 2009 then crashed and exploded. I was a member of LAMB back then, and it just crashed. I have recently resurrected it and have been trying to build up the reviews, and am constantly trying to get back to my former glories with the site.

I'm a member and writer of Scary Film Blog.

The site was formerly part of the LAMB and is back now with an all new design, format, and more content. I'm hoping to reconnect the pieces to the LAMB and others. I'm a fan of film, tend to have strong opinions, and think a lot of major film sucks...then again, I'm an idiot.

In Memoriam: Dead LAMBs

As part of this year's LAMMY ceremonies, I thought it only fitting that we take a moment to celebrate the LAMBs that have fallen over the years. Ideally, I'd only include those LAMBs that have "died" since last year's LAMMYs, but a) I haven't done one of these in the past, so why not celebrate them all and b) I don't exactly know when all of these died. Next year, I'll have to this to go off of, so I'll know who has died since then.

What is the main focus of your site?
I wanted to provide "normal" people like my friends and family a glimpse into the life of a film geek. I want to show how film can be fun, but how it can also be a passion, and in many cases, a possible career path.

The main focus is just my life, which is today almost entirely centered around and packed with everything film.

What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
I really just want to have an outlet for my writing and a place to preserve my thoughts on film and movies. I would love to someday make money from my writing, specifically reviewing or talking about films, but for now I enjoy the small amount of feedback my opinions garner.

Do you prefer an interactive community for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers the students?
I'm all about being interactive.

I love hearing what people think about what I think about movies. I know that there will always be someone who knows more about some film aspect than I do; and I want to learn from them.

This blog is new, as I have been writing it for only three months now, but it is my second or third film blog.

I try to post at least three new things each week, with two of them being substantial pieces with some kind of depth to them.

What is the main focus of your site?
The main focus of "The Watch Instantly Critic" is to spotlight all the good and bad films that the service has to offer. I watch a lot of random stuff on Watch Instantly, because it's there and available, and I want to share my journey into the 17,000+ choices that are available. I also link to the movie at the end of the review, so anyone who has a Netflix account can watch it themselves and leave a comment with their thoughts...although that has yet to happen.

What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
Currently I write for two of my own sites, and for two others, so my goal is apparently to burn out. In all due honesty, I just want to write about movies and shows I like, and to have people read and respond. I don't harbor any false hopes that this will turn into a full-time job, which is fine by me. I'd rather write for a blog anyway, it's more personal and fun.

Do you prefer an interactive community for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers the students?
Interactive community definitely. People have such vast opinions on the art of entertainment and I love reading everyone's thoughts and responding on my own. I also love getting recommendations and the like.

How long have you been movie blogging for, and how frequent do you post updates to your site?
I've been movie blogging constantly since August of last year when I started my main site Film Calamity. Before then, I had been writing reviews on and off since high school. I try to update The Watch Instantly Critic at least three times a month, which isn't a lot, but when you also write on three other sites and balance work and school, it's the best one can muster.

To bring reviews that aren't always completely serious. I guess it is more of a personal movie journal in that the topics discussed can be based on each blogger's interests and musings.

We don't want films to be seen as this OVERLY SERIOUS thing and that anyone can truly enjoy writing reviews or their thoughts about it. I haven't updated since December when I announced the Globe nominees, but I plan on writing a little something right after I send "send" on this email! New Year's Resolution #1--blog more.

What is the main focus of your site?
To offer a different insight into the world of what I term Deadly Movies; being horror, sci-fi, creature features, and monster movies. Deadly Movies concentrates less on news and reviews as, lets face it, the web is full of horror news and reviews. Instead I try to offer something more whimsical, such as 'Do You Remember When Bernie from Weekend at Bernie's Appeared in Friday 13th Part 7?', or 'The Top 5 Deadly Movies Seaside Resort Towns'. I look to really celebrate the oddities and obscurities that make these genres so endearing.

What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
I'm trying to expose my writing style to whoever reads it. I would dearly like to write for a living, and I hope what i produce, and the style in which I produce it, is entertaining to the reader. Aside from any aspirational goals I have, I also just enjoy having a place where I can pour my knowledge out.

My Blog is linked up to my DeadlyMovies twitter page (www.twitter.com/DeadlyMovies) where I like to open up discussions about the posts on the site. I've also, recently, enabled anyone and everyone to post comments to blog posts on the site, this has been particularly rewarding. It's only via interaction that we may judge the success and direction of our work.

I have been movie blogging for 7 months. I aim to post around 4 to 5 times a week, based upon the themes of my regular features.

I have about a dozen blogs I read daily. I want someone to have The Culture Kid in their "daily blogs" 'cause sometimes you just need to read the pointless monologue of a 15 year-old who thought Disturbia was the second best film of 2007.

I am pretty self-absorbed, so at times, it becomes all about me..preaching. But I love getting comments and being able to know that someone, someone, out there is interested by what I have to say. And I always reply to comments.

I started blogging about film in June 2008. I'll admit my posting frequency can be a tad inconsistent. But I'd like to say that I post once every day or so. I'm trying to discipline myself more and no matter what, post five times a week. My posts tend to be epic and take some time to write.

I have my focus on writing detailed film reviews on films of any kind of genre, especially those which are labeled as "Coming-Of-Age" titles. Furthermore, I like to deal with the media in general - that is why you will find information and material about music, television or the web 2.0 on my blog, too.

What are your blogging goals, personally and/or professionally? In other words, what, if anything, are you trying to get out your blog?
Well, we all know that it is kind of hard to state WHY we are actually doing all this stuff - since it somehow is like a hard work without receiving any actual salary. Especially in my case, since I often sit hours on my detailed reviews (sometimes I even write them bilingual). But, to admit it: I do it for fun, and because I am totally obsessed with movies in general. And: a friendly commendation of a user is more worth than receiving any money - at least for me ! I want my blog to be a reliable source for infos on common and rare films.

Do you prefer an interactive 'community' for your blog or are you the teacher and your readers are the students?
Now, as I said above, I would just love to receive comments of any kind. The communication between the writers and readers is an aspect that matters most.

I have been blogging for about a year now indeed. Well, I guess that this is not such a long period for some people - but; I will keep doing this to earn more and more experience. About the updates: you can be sure that my blog is almost daily updated. I am visiting my blog at least once a day, to check the visitor number and the comments. There should be a new post at least every second day - while sometimes I am writing up to five new ones on a single day.

I am a paid blogger for Twolia; but I selected my own topic/theme & ultimately I'd say my goals are to talk about vintage film and fashion in the ways they are similar (used to create images, reflective of a place and time, not "old junk" to be discarded, not perfect, etc.) to create more fans of classic & vintage films.

(Being syndicated or getting another paid gig wouldn't hurt tho! lol)

I'd prefer more of an interactive community, where I lead or facilitate, but we all bring something to the table. As I'm more of a research nut, tho, and I'm trying not to cover the same old ground in the same old way, the blog is slanted more towards me providing the information -- but I love it when folks add to the stories & provide new information & opinions!

I think an interactive community is best with a blog; it’s great reading and responding to comments, and it just provides a blog with a nice friendly feel.

I’ve been movie blogging for about five months now. Ideally I’d love to update daily, and hopefully in the future that will be more or less the case; at the very minimum I like to post at least once a week though, and I don’t think I’ve ever gone longer than a fortnight without updating.

What is the main focus of your site?
To review upcoming movies in simple yet elegant look.. so it will easier to review for those movies lover but don't want to see to much detail version that you can get in most blog or web.

Actually I want to make my blog for my friends to read, but why not show it to the others? So I tried making my first movies contribution in here.

I started the blog when I was a frustrated video store clerk, and now
that I'm no longer a video store clerk, I dream of going back to the
glory days. I honestly just write about movies because I watch so many
of them that I get bored with just being a consumer.

I prefer interaction, but no one else seems to like that. I can be a
teacher at times, but usually just try to keep things light.

I post updates to my site at least 5 times a week, sometimes as many
as 15 but I try to keep to 5 a week.

What is the main focus of your site?
First I want to tell you why I have 2 URLs.

I search (by Google) and I found that in my country (Indonesia), there is so many movies-review site. But there is a very few of them that have a complete updating movie reviews. Just for you to know, sir, in Indonesia the newer movies are sometimes coming to our cinema lately. For example, Tropic Thunder that come out to the cinema at August, in Indonesia, the Tropic Thunder is just coming out to the cinema now (October). Even the Ghost Son is found in our cinema now (October 2008). So when I want to search the newest movie reviews (in language of Indonesia), I hardly find them. Because of the late Movie upcoming in our country affect our movie reviews site (Indonesian).

So the main focus of my site is to make a movie reviews blog that is updated with the newest movie reviews, and make the reviews in Indonesian too. I want to provide a Movie reviews blog to all reader in the world, but I want that my friend can enjoy reading the reviews in Indonesian.

I make 2 different blogs (It means I work twice) to separate the international and my country in symbolic model. First blog is providing the movie reviews in English (for international). And the second blog is providing the movie reviews in Indonesian.

I hope the answer for the main focus question is answering this question too. The goal is to provide a movie reviews blog that updated. The main goal is to provide people of my country the newest update movie reviews blog.

I'm a journalist based in the UK, a science editor, who loves movies. I'm hoping the blog will get me recognised as someone who knows movies and has some semblance of wit about him. I also just love entertaining people.

Interactive community definitely. I'd never say that I know more than my readers because I'm sure some of them will know a heck of a lot more than I do. I enjoy a good community atmosphere where readers can contribute towards material through comments, polls, emails etc.

I haven't been movie blogging for long at all, but I'm a seasoned blogger with my other blog "Middle-earth Blog."

I update my site with some kind of film every Monday and Friday, with a feature movie on Wednesday. Throughout the week I post updates when I feel like.
